Many of us feel paiseh to ask people for a favour, what more for an opportunity. But let me tell you, just by simply asking, many things have happened for me. Sometimes all you've got to do is to just put on a thick face and wing it!

I would always opt for asking for an opportunity than to regret not doing so because I did not want to take a chance. It's okay to ask for a job, a raise or even to approach someone or a brand on a collaboration that you're keen on. Maybe at that place and time, that someone might be looking for someone like you too.

There were many times where I have approached a brand for an opportunity, and believe it or not, it does work! It's just a matter of dedication, patience and also what you can offer them in return, of course. I aspire to earn off my social media, side hustle. Not anytime soon but with persistence, maybe one day I will.

Oh and I got both of my jobs by simply asking if they had anything for me to do or not. I had no experience whatsoever in the field. I guess it was just the right time and place. I'm blessed with such an opportunity and I'm forever grateful for it.
