So as the title goes, I went to my first concert! The best part about it is that I attended it with the best people. We've been excited for months and when the day finally came, it's one of the highlights of my 2018.
3rd November 2018, Saturday (Day before the concert)
Harrish and Damien drove down together while Vinnie dungu followed my high school friend down. All of them got to my place at about 3pm. We decided to go to Kung Fu (The best Chinese Restaurant in Cyberjaya) for lunch and we ate till about 4pm. After that, we had to go pick Visarn up from Putrajaya Sentral and we headed to Uncle Don's, Taipan to meet up with Damien's friends from STM for dinner and some beer. It was my second time there and I decided to order something different that was the Devil's Curry spaghetti if I'm not mistaken. It was SO GOOD. Oh and we also had some beer - duh. After Uncle Don's we decided to head to a mamak somewhere in Subang to chill awhile longer.
At about 10.30pm we decided to drive all the way to Bangsar to go to SIX - not the best decision. We got there, it was drizzling and instead of a RM25 per entry drink, we had to get a RM85 jug per two persons to get in. That's the first bad thing of the night. The jug was so small, it was pathetic for RM85. The second thing that sucked was that the DJ was crap and the crowd just wasn't good. This is probably my second time being disappointed with SIX. Don't think I'm going there anytime soon.
4th November 2018, Sunday (Khalid's Asia Tour 2018)
Harrish, Vinnie and Damien were surprisingly up early. And Visarn was asleep (as usual). We got ready and headed out to Ikea for their meatballssssss. Haven't come across any other dish that is as savoury as their meatballs. I don't know what is it but it's like that for me. Anyways, we got our food, bumped into Lim Han, had lunch and before we knew it, it was close to 4pm and we had to get going to KL Live for the concert.
We got there at about 5pm, the concert was said to start at 7/7.30pm and the waiting line was massive. Everyone was seated on the floor and it was a trail from the doors of KL Live, down the stairs onto the open area at the other entrance. When we got there, Harrish was still parking the car while Damien and Vinnie was with me, waiting in line. When we got there, there was this girl after us that said something along the lines of there being an express lane for U Mobile members which of course, the OG Harrish is one. So Damien went ahead and figured it out with Harrish.
After about half an hour's wait, Damien called Vinnie and I up as they found the line to the express lane. WE WERE FREAKING PUMPED AND EXCITED FROM THERE. We were so close to the door. We were scanned, got our wristbands, went through security for a body check and before we knew it, we were in! Harrish and Damien took a while to get through the door but eventually, they got in.
OK, KL Live isn't the biggest place and it was PACKED. When the entire crowd came in, everyone was smushed against each other. If you're claustrophobic, it wouldn't be pretty for you cause it's really confined to the point where you can't really move from where you're standing. Someone's gone be in front, at the back and on the both of your sides.
The organisers played some pretty lit music while we were waiting. It was a fun and exciting wait. Then alextbh did the opening session. I didn't really listen to his songs before the concert but I did know about 1 or 2. He also performed an unreleased single for us (which was pretty good). Kudos for him on being openly gay and for standing up for the minorities in our country.
After his performance, they made us wait another half an hour before Khalid came on stage. AND WHEN HE DID, IT WAS KHA-LITTTTTTTT. This guy went through his entire American Teen album and all his singles without a break. Imagine that! And his dancers, they hardly got a full song to rest. Everyone was vibing and it was the best first-concert experience I could ever ask for. Check out some pics below.

It definitely was a concert to remember.
We were done at about 10.30pm and we decided to head to Barfly, Publika. Honestly speaking, we should've went to Barfly the day before because it's so much better than SIX. Of course, they cannot be compared because they're two different kinds of bars but then again, Barfly was more up our alley.
We had our really late dinner, Vinnie and I shared a pizza followed by a bowl of fries and two cocktails. LOVED IT. Everything was so good. We were all pretty tired. Harrish dozed off and knocked his phone off the table - HAHA. And then when we were all done, we headed home. Chatted a lil bit, then all of us KO-ed.
Can't wait for my next concert with the gang!
Till next time.
xx, Farm
