Hey guys! So today I'll be talking about side hustles and how to get them going.

First of all, you can't get money flowing in without putting in the work it requires. If you're not willing to work for it, then it's not for you. There are many different types of side hustles out there. You can be someone's part time PA or even write reviews on your blog and get paid. There's a very very wide range to look from. So how do you know if you're qualified?
Well, for the most of it, you wouldn't need a certificate and what not but you do need to show your client that you are capable of it, and yes, experience or prior work is key. For example, if you're looking to be a freelance content writer, then put up a personal blog with your own interests so that your clients may read through it and see if they like your style of writing or not. It's like a showcase of your own work and it helps them envision what you could possibly do for them.
How do you get a side hustle? For the most part, asking worked fine for me. All I did was ask for opportunities and you'd either make it or get turned down (which is okay because there's so many out there and your opportunity will come). When you're asking if they're interested in the services that you can provide, be convincing *and truthful* and give them an idea of what you can help them achieve if they hire you.
Read my post on how 'asking' gets you places here - https://bit.ly/2pek2d4
Here are a few questions to ask yourself :-
1. Why should they hire you?
2. What can you provide them with?
3. What can you help them achieve? - this is pretty important
Speaking of the freelance work I usually go for, helping my clients achieve something is a big part of the job. It's usually to reach a bigger audience or to gain publicity.
Another way you could look for a side hustle is to put your resume up online. There are so many sites online like Jobstreet (https://www.jobstreet.com.my) or even Monster (https://www.monster.com.my). Here's a tip, prepare your resume or cover letter suited to the employer/client. You know how there's a short paragraph before all your work experiences? Yeah, give them a brief run through of your skills in relation to the job role.
