Why should you get a job?

I understand that a lot of people are privileged enough to not have to work while studying. I didn't have to work too but I chose to. Why? For one, I have the freedom to spend on whatever I want to because it is money that I earned through work, not money taken from someone else.
Second, it teaches you a sense of responsibility, to be accountable for your mistakes and the work you produce. It not only gives you an exposure to working with people, it also does mend your social skills and how you professionally interact and communicate with people older than you are.
It teaches you how to overcome stress and I find it very useful to learn these things early on instead of when you're established in the working world. To know how to calm yourself down, give yourself a break and then when you're better, get back to what you were dealing with. I have learnt to not emotionally involve myself in work. It just adds on to my stress.
Also, in situations where you are unable to manage your finances well, it's best to learn how to overcome and manage it well now than to face these issues when you have a family and multiple commitments under your name. The earlier you start, the better because it would cause less damage to have a financial hiccup now than when you have bills and fees to pay.
I personally mismanaged my money a few months ago and I had to find the courage to tell my mum that I was struggling. I found that it was something to learn from, sometimes we need to experience things to learn and I haven't had an issue since then.
If you're looking for a job and you really need one, check out https://www.monster.com.my and upload your resume there. I've made an account less than a month ago and I've received 2 job offers that I did not apply for but still within my abilities. Companies have recruitment staff on that site looking through your resumes to offer you jobs.
Anyways, if you have questions, feel free to DM me on any one of my social media platforms @emilyrachelfarm
