Working as a Student

Hey guys! I'm back with a post to share my thoughts on working as a student.
I'm not an intern nor am I a full-time staff. I'm more like a 'contract staff' with no contract determining how long I'm supposed to work for. I'd like to think of myself as a freelancer with two clients instead. I guess that as long as I'm fit to work and contribute, then I can keep my jobs?
First and foremost, I got both my jobs by simply asking, no interview whatsoever. I asked if they had jobs for me to do in my free time. Ask and you shall receive (If it's meant for you). They both understood that I'm a full-time student and I find that very important while working, that your boss understands that you'll have classes, assignments and exams. What I do is different from an internship because interning requires you to work full-time for 3 to 6 months straight but I pretty much do the same thing. Same same but different. I work after classes and most of all, I work from home. I'm not required to be in office every single day, though my office is always open for me to work at.
Sometimes it's quite intimidating to work with adults who are 10 years older than I am or even twice my age. But it's important to know how to carry yourself like an adult. I'm not 100% client based but I do have to follow up with some from time to time. It's pretty scary at first but I got through it.
Why did I take up two jobs? Well someone has got to pay my bills and fund my unnecessary expenses and save for my future right? I wasn't forced into working by my parents but I felt like it was necessary for me to work, get exposure, get a feel of spending my own money and feeling the pinch if I spend too much rather than to spend my parents money which they worked hard for on my wants. I do spend a lot of money on my shoes but that money, I earned.
I don't agree if people ball money that isn't theirs. If you have expensive taste in things or if you like to dine at lavish places, then work, earn your own, then spend. It's not right to me that you enjoy yourself and spend your parents' money on wasteful things.
There will be a post coming up on what it's like working from home.
